Diabetes Diet
Diabetes Type 2 is caused by the over production of insulin in the body.
Insulin is stimulated by eating certain foods – in particular starch and sugar. Most people develop type 2 diabetes as a result of eating a diet high in starch and sugar, whilst engaging in low levels of exercise.
If the human body produces too much insulin, the body will, regardless of the amount of food eaten, start to convert food to abdominal fat.
If you stop eating sugar and starch it is possible to reverse Diabetes Type 2 and stop using medication. This will work whether or not you choose to exercise. As soon as you cut starch and sugar out of your diet, your body will stop over producing insulin and this will stabilise your body and stop the collection of abdominal fat.
Whilst it has been long thought that diabetics do need starch and sugar in their diet, there have never been any clinical trials to support that belief. Advice often given to diabetics to avoid fat has also been dispelled in the largest study ever completed by the World Health Organisation.
Attached is a list of peer reviewed clinical trials which show how the Go Lower diet provides the best diet for type 2 diabetics. Additional papers show that fats should not be avoided by diabetics.
